S.S.S Paul Hatch

Student Success Statement

"When you tell ONE lie, it leads to ANOTHER."
Paul Hatch

Reflection: Paul Hatch is right because when you think you are telling one little lie you are still hurting someone. In addition to telling a lie and almost getting caught, you tell another lie to cover it up and then you end up contradicting yourself and telling more lies. It is never good to tell a lie no matter how small and harmless it may seem.

S.S.S The 3 Questions

Student Success Statement

The 3 Questions:
  1. Can people trust me to do what's right?
  2. Am i committed to doing my very best?
  3. Do I treat others the way I want to be treated?
"If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail."
Lou Holtz

Reflection: I agree with Mr. Holtz because if you are constantly doing your best, doing what's right and treat others the way you want to be treated, you can't go wrong. Life is all about respect,  hard work, and doing the right thing. If you abide to those three things, you will always succeed.

S.S.S President John F. Kennedy

Student Success Statement

"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy boy, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong. "

John F. Kennedy

Reflection: In my opinion, I think that our former president was right. Not only does your body function properly when you are healthy but you are able to think more clearly.

Kindness Clip

Baseball Game Boy
(Kindness Clip)

-In this video a boy and his family are at a baseball game along with a lot of other people in the stadium. During the game, a baseball player tosses the ball up into the bleachers and the boy (Ian) makes an attempts to catch it while there is another little boy next to him also trying to catch the ball. As the ball is in the air Ian - being older and bigger than the other boy - reaches out and with an extended arm catches the ball. Ian was so excited he was going to back to him seat when he saw the little boy crying. He felt very bad and decided to give the ball to the little boy and returned to his seat in the bleachers.

Reflection:
-I think this is a great display of kindness. It is not every day you see a child from our society do something good out of the kindness of their hearts for someone else.
