They create models for patients' mouths from physical and sometimes computerized molds. A dental technician may specialize in one or two aspects of dental prosthetics. They also need manual dexterity and some technical skills, and most technicians learn through on-the-job training

Salary: $36,440 median

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Junior college programs
  • Associates degree that must be accredited

Reflection: Do you think you would like to become one? Why or why not?
-The works of a dental lab technician seem like a fairly easy job. It does not ask much from a person in terms of school because you learn the most while on the job. In my opinion, thought sounding like somewhat fun, I do not think I would like to be a dental lab technician because I would not like to have to reach into others' mouths and smell their breathe.
