Duties and Responsibilities: Dermatologists specialize in preventing, diagnosing, and treating skin diseases and conditions. Some dermatologists perform procedures to improve the appearance of the skin. They may also perform minor outpatient surgeries, such as removing legions, warts, moles, or cancerous cells from the skin. A huge part of the dermatologist job is to inform their patients of the treatment and prevention of skin conditions.

Salary: Around $283,000 a year

Education: This job requires several years of education and training. First you must have an undergraduates degree from a four year college including pre-medical courses in biology, organic chemistry, physics, chemistry. Following the undergraduate school, you must attend a four-year accredited medical school. All students must complete a residency after medical school.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to become one? Why or why not?
-This particular medical career is very interesting because you can work with many different skin types and you get a wide experience. Being able to help people, teens specifically, would be great because I know what they go through. I would absolutely love to become a dermatologist.
