I agree with this quote because it is very true. It does not matter if you are winning someone else at something, it only matters if you are where you are supposed to be.

Duties and Responsibilities: An allopathic physician is a medical doctor who treats disorders and injuries by methods aimed at counteracting the problems. They are able to prescribe antibiotics to treat a bacterial infection. They often work in public or private hospitals or clinics and many have private practices. 

Salary: $100,000-$275,000

Education: Doctoral degree in medicine, three year residency is required.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why or why not?

    I do not think I would like to be one because I would not like to see all of those people that are injured.

I agree with this statement because it does not matter how much money or power you have, money does not buy happiness. It all matters on who you are inside as a person and those around you.

An Allergist is a physician specially trained to diagnose, treat, and manage allergies and asthma. In the United States, to become an allergist you will be required to take an additional nine years of school. After completing medical school, you must then continue with three more years of training in internal medicine or pediatrics and pass an exam of either the ABIM or ABP.

Education: An additional nine years of training and must obtain a Bachelor's degree.

Reflection: Do you think you would you like to be one? Why or why not?

   I think i would like to become one because I like to help people and it has always fascinated me how scientist use different substances to create a cure of make something new.

Acupuncture

Duties and Responsibilities:  Acupuncture is the stimulation of specific acupuncture points along the skin of the body. Acupuncture treatments identify a pattern of energetic imbalance within a patient and redress that disharmony through a variety of therapies. An acupuncturist must take at least 5 to 8 years of school. Acupuncture is one of the most requested forms of treatment in the fast growing field of alternative medicine so the prospects of finding a job in that field are excellent for the foreseeable future. Acupuncturists use specific needles to ease disharmony 

Average Salary: $52,000 

Education: Specific requirements may vary from one acupuncture college to another but a bachelor's or associate's degree is required for admission. 

 

Reflection: Would you like to be one? Why or why not?

I do not think i would like to be an acupuncturist because I do not have the patience to find every little acupuncture point and I would get very frustrated.

I agree with this quote because it really is impossible to do something bad and feel good about it. For example, if you make up a rumor about someone it won't make you feel better even if you hate the person. All it will do is make you feel bad for what you did.

Acupressure is and alternative medicine technique to acupuncture. Physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points with the aim of clearing blockages. Acupressure releases tension and increases circulation. Acupressure falls under the even bigger category of acupuncture. 

Average Salary: $81,830 a year

Education: To become and acupressurist you must study at an acupressure school and earn a Master's Degree.

I think I would like to be one because I like to make people feel better. It would be nice to be able to interact with other people.

 I think this statement means that education, either being street smarts or books smarts, helps you in everyday life to succeed. Education is key to being at to move ahead in life and become someone respected and acknowledged as a higher person. 

Ophthalmologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When necessary, they perform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologists are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and others perform research.

Average Salary: $90,000-$150,000

Educational Requirements:

Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologists. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmologist program. After completing their residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.

                                              

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why or why not?

I wouldn’t like to be an ophthalmologist because I would not trust myself to touch someone’s eye knowing I may hurt them. To conduct eye surgery, or any type of surgery, you would have to have a steady hand and I, in most cases, do not have a steady hand. If I would to be able to get over the fear of hurting someone’s eye by accident I would probably like to be an ophthalmologist.
