Duties and Responsibilities:  Acupuncture is the stimulation of specific acupuncture points along the skin of the body. Acupuncture treatments identify a pattern of energetic imbalance within a patient and redress that disharmony through a variety of therapies. An acupuncturist must take at least 5 to 8 years of school. Acupuncture is one of the most requested forms of treatment in the fast growing field of alternative medicine so the prospects of finding a job in that field are excellent for the foreseeable future. Acupuncturists use specific needles to ease disharmony 

Average Salary: $52,000 

Education: Specific requirements may vary from one acupuncture college to another but a bachelor's or associate's degree is required for admission. 

 

Reflection: Would you like to be one? Why or why not?

I do not think i would like to be an acupuncturist because I do not have the patience to find every little acupuncture point and I would get very frustrated.
