9/11 Memorial

9/11 Memorial

September 11 of 2001 was known to be the longest day in U.S history when the twin towers came under attack. Both towers were crashed into by one airplane each, whose pilots were believed to have been associated with the Islamic extremist group. There were four reported hijacked planes but only two crashed into the world trade center. The third plane hit the Pentagon in Washington D.C and the fourth plane crash landed in a field in Pennsylvania. Over 3,000 people were killed including more than 400 police officers and firefighters. Most New Yorkers were very scared and confused at what had happened. Many people were lost that day. A day we will never forget.

In result of both towers collapsing, there was a memorial site built where the towers came crashing down. My regards go out to all those families that lost some one in the 9/11 terrorist attack. It is very sad to think that some people would be able to take the lives of so many innocent people. Many were lost but none would be forgotten.
