Duties and Responsibilities: The responsibilities of an ambulance dispatcher is to answer emergency and non-emergency calls. They are to work along with the ambulance director of operations. They also coordinate all ambulance transports. An ambulance dispatcher is to portray a positive, courteous, professional, and helpful image at all times. Ambulance  dispatchers are responsible for checking and maintaining email communications during each shift.

Salary: $36,300 a year 

Education:
  • High school graduate or equivalent 
  • Minimum six months dispatch experience
  • EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P, EMD or related medical experience

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why or why not?
    I think I would enjoy this job because I would love to be able to help bring people to safety. It seems like a fairly easy job to obtain.
