Registered Dietitian

Registered Dietitian

Duties and Responsibilities: A registered dietitian must collaborate with providers to identify and connect with patients in need of nutrition counseling as well as many other duties. For example, they must also establish treatment plans and communicate with patients regarding program compliance. A registered dietitian has to improve the care of patients and make recommendations to the Medical Director and P&T Committee.

Salary: Around $56,800 a year.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field required. Must have R.D. registration and be eligible for Washington State certification

Reflection: Do you think you would like to become one? Why or why not?
-In my opinion I think that this is a great job. As a registered dietitian you can inform people that they have the choice of a better and healthier lifestyle. This is a great way to better the community but in my case, This is not what I would like to do.
