Miles and Lieutenant Daily

Miles and Lieutenant Daily

One day a boy named miles and his mother were going to eat breakfast in a restaurant and on their way in, Miles found a $20 bill. Once they were inside, Miles began to think about what he wanted to buy with money until he saw a soldier eating in the same restaurant as he was. Miles decided to give the soldier a present and wrapped the $20 bill in a noted thanking him for his service. Miles did this because his father was once a soldier who died when he was only 5-weeks old. The soldier was so moved by the gesture he kept the note with him always if he, or anyone else, needed a little inspiration. After breakfast with his mother, Miles asked if they could make one more stop - the cemetery to visit his father. Miles told his father all about the morning and what he had done. The boy displayed a great degree of honor for the soldier and wanted to thank him.
