"Presidents Day"

   Presidents Day is sometimes known as Washington's birthday. It is held every third Monday of February. This day is to show honor to all of our former - and our present - president. This federal holiday was originally implemented by an Act of Congress in 1879 for government offices in Washington but then later expanded to federal offices. Today, this celebration if known for stores, specially car dealers, to hold sales. Since this is a day of celebration many schools close on Presidents Day.  A way to show honor and respect on Presidents Day is to hold ceremonies to show your appreciation to the to the state presidency. There is also a portrait of George Washington and three other presidents carved into Mount Rushmore National Memorial. \
