Image result for health educatorDuties and Responsibilities: A health educator must collaborate with health specialists and civic groups to determine community health needs and the availability of services, and to develop goals for meeting needs. They must design and conduct evaluations and diagnostic studies, develop and present health education and promotion programs such as training workshops, conferences, and school or community presentations. A health educator has to develop operational plans. They must also prepare and distribute health education materials, including reports, bulletins, and visual aids such as films, videotapes. photographs, and posters.

Salary: The median annual wage for health educators is $48,790

Education: Entry-level health educators require a bachelor's degree in health education or health promotion. These programs teach students theories and methods of health education and help students gain knowledge and skills they need to develop health education materials and programs. Most programs include an internship. They must also have important qualities like analytical skills, instructional skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and writing skills.
