S.S.S. Theodore Hesburgh

Student Success Statement

Image result for Theodore Hesburgh"My basic principle is that you don't make decisions
because they are easy;
you don't make them because they are cheap;
you don't make them because they're popular;
you make them BECAUSE THEY'RE RIGHT!"
Theodore Hesburgh
(Former President of Notre Dame)

Reflection: I agree with this quote completely. You are never supposed to make a decision because it is what the majority wants. You don't make a decision because it is the easiest option. You don't make a decision because you are pressured to. You always make a decision because it is what you want, what you know is right, and what you know will help yourself ad others and bring good. For example if someone was to be pushing you around, you don't decide to fight because you want to show you are tough or that you don't back down -that would be too easy- you decide to calmly walk away from the person without hurting anyone or getting trouble because you know it is the right decision to make.
